Hello all,

I was wondering if there was a way to use a zebra barcode reader in the vision client. The issue I've ran into is I need to scan a part number and have it paste into a text field, but I also need it to read if its lets say 7 digits or 12 digits and have it paste into the corresponding field.

I know how to code this if I was using an arduino or raspberry pi, but ignition is confusing with the scripting.

Thank you for your help!

Your best bet is using the [Sepasoft Barcode Scanner](https://www.sepasoft.com/downloads/) module. You can install it for free and use it under trial mode until you decide that you want to purchase it. Search the forum for topics on how to use it, there should be multiple that I have commented on.

Try calling Zebra, they helped me setup a scanner using their utility tool called "123Scan Utility", my application was different, AB PanelView and wanted to use F1 key to select a certain field and close any popups..

All that was handled through the scanner utility
