Ignition and Rockwell Emulate 5000/RSLinx Classic Gateway

Will Ignition read tags from an Emulate 5000 (v30) controller using RS Classic Gateway 4.1? I’ve read a lot of old threads here and elsewhere and still not sure about the answer.

So far, I have a successful connection to the local RSLinx OPC Server with the OPC-DA COM Connection. I can see the Linx OPC Servers and tags if I go to OPC Quick Client in the config menu. But now I’m at a roadblock. Is that as far as this goes with this combination of software?

As you can see, I can find all the tags in the Tag Browser and D&D them, but they all have errors…

OPC-DA to RSLinx Classic (Emulated PLC)

While doing testing I found a way to use the OPC-DA connection to create a link between 2 computers and read values from an RSLinx topic I had created to an emulated PLC.
