Just skimmed through the forum and found old posts on this topic from 2014 and 2018, but no comment from IA since the earlier thread. Can someone within IA please comment if the rough limit of 50k for “Max Records” on store and forward settings has changed in the past 6 years?
The backing technology is the same (http://hsqldb.org/), so the same general advice holds (note: Edge’s buffers are stored using SQLite, not HSQLDB, so there are some different limitations to follow). As of 8.1.2 there’s new store and forward related system tags that you can use to set up automated alarming/scripting/etc, which hopefully alleviates some of the need for extremely high buffer limits.
