IGN-15020 Null error shows when closing Sessions within Perspective Sessions on UI

I get this error when trying to kill any Perspective session:

Visualisation for your edge is probably set to the Vision.

Any errors in the browser console or gateway logs?

I was able to re-create this issue. To clarify, it appears that the issue is related to force-closing the Designer through the Perspective Sessions page. Thanks for reporting this! I’ll be updating the title here soon with a ticket number.

Sorry I should have added more detail at the time! (I was on the phone when I added it)

We were trying to close the “Browser, Chrome” scoped client, not the “Designer” one. There were no errors that appeared in the gateway logs. I don’t know where that 192.168 client actually is so I couldn’t have a look to see if there were any logs in its console. This is a local dev box running the gateway.

Well, that makes things a bit interesting to say the least. I was seeing the inverse of what you reported, I had no issues closing the Perspective session with the Terminate button but redoing it against the Designer did report the issue. I’m thinking the 192.168 might be the IP the gateway is being registered too, does that number match what you’re seeing on the Diagnostics of the welcome page?

Actually I found the client which was another laptop. The issue seems to be resolved now, but my colleague changed the visualisation from Vision to Perspective and may have rebooted the gw.. This might be a goose chase at this point. Interestingly though, the Perspective sessions were both there while the Visualisation was set to Vision. I’d expect the Designer session to be there, but not the browser connection.

I’m glad it seems to be resolved. Either way, thanks for bringing this up to our attention.
