There's a subtle difference in your screenshot, events should be under options. We need to tell the chart to actually listen for mousedown events.
Also I'm not 100% sure what the plugins[0].events property does, it doesn't seem to affect anything but it seemed correct to specify it. It might be used for other lifecycle hooks
