You still have to use the GUI though to select the tag itself and the component property value to paste into. I guess a shortcut would be nice though. Telekinesis would be even better still

Previous clever programmers using a custom built SCADA on Qt and Linux set up their system so that you click on the tag in their database and then click on “address” field and the path auto-fills. Speed savings is substantial (right click and then paste is pretty darn quick unless you compare it to click-click). Gain some and lose some when you switch software packages.
