For final release, the author name will be retrieved from one of two places: The subjectName of the module cert. If no cert is supplied, then the vendorName specified in module.xml will be used. We’re aware this isn’t working in the current builds, but we fully expect it will be repaired before final release.

Install or Upgrade Module not working Ignition 8.3 Early Access

Hi all, I have a weird problem which sometimes occurs. If I change the version number of a module and do a gradle build and then use the “Install or Upgrade module” then everything appears to work. The gateway does its usual restart but then if I check the version number of the module it is not the new module version, it’s still the old version. To get my updated module on the gateway I have to uninstall the current module, restart the gateway and then install the new one. I’m sure it’s ju…
