Bug - changing reference path does not update tag historian value

Ignition 8.1.0 Changing the path of a reference tag does change the tag value. But the historian is not updated. The Ignition historian tags will not update until the new referenced tag has been changed. Is there any way to force the tag to update in the historian?

This is a more clear post. However, IA haven't clarified whether this is a bug
