The ticket title has a lot of red herrings. runScript and custom methods are irrelevant. The actual problem was with Vision templates in general, and it’s been a problem for the entire 8.X lifecycle (
). Basically, something was being created from scratch each time instead of recycled, for each template instance. So I would expect pretty significant performance improvements for ~all Vision users in the next 8.1 release.
