Just started with Ignition, and could use some help

Ie this

I built my first homepage with Notepad, but that was back in the 90s. And back then, I mainly worked with tables and frames. So HTML 3.02, and also JavaScript, but that was more like copy and paste.

I do know a bit about XHTML and CSS; at least, I still have a few books lying around. Maybe I should pick those up again sometime. But actually, when CSS came along, and frames and tables disappeared, I didn't find HTML that much fun anymore...

But what do you mean with Embedd them? That is not this?
So Dvalve is the valve, and the EmbeddedView_0 are the valve on the main screen...
And now I can scale it, (it didn't work because the root from Dvalve wasn't on precent.)

But this is not the way?

No, that is an embedded view, which is an entierly different thing.

You want to embedd the SVG on the view it's self, so it would show up in the tree beneath the root.

Make sure the container you want the SVG to be in is deep selected (shows the target symbol next to it). Then drag the file from file explorer and drop it onto the view. You will be presented with a dialog box which will give you the two options as @Steve_Laubach showed earlier.

Sorry, and I suddenly feel so stupid... but I don't understand you...

These were 8 pictures. but it must be easier?

So don't use this? but how should it be done?
I can't find all that Save and Link anywhere?

okay, found it... okay, what should I choose and why? Save and Link... link with what? with Inkscape? or Paintshop?

Save and link is the option to add the image to your image library. I would recommend using the other option, which embeds the drawing definition into the view.

I found that save and link... I just don't understand it yet...

but I'm also busy with too much at the same time.. there is a colleague in China, and one in America. And I support them via the Internet (because I don't really want to go to another country that often anymore).

okay... uh...

how many images should I have? 1, where we only change the color?

or 4 images of all colors?

what is the best format, also for scaling and rotating? probably needs to be some kind of vector file?

how about the touch part? and also how about the dotted line? does that need to be a separate image? Or?
I mean, what I have now? Stop with it? Start something else?..

For what you’re trying to accomplish in this thread, you only need a single embedded SVG. I’m away from my desk so can’t really work something up, but if you look through the links I postered earlier, it does show what is needed.

The one even has a json file which you can import as an example.

Do not use "save and link". Use "Embed image"

I feel this belongs here

Except replace regex with "save and link" and HTML with SVG, or the sentiment at least.

Again. Do not use "save and link" when you drag your SVG into an Ignition Perspective View. Use "Embed image".
