Leased Tag rate best practice

You are probably suffering from this aspect of Ignition's OPC client:

Leased Tag Slow Rate Switching

Subscription synchronization is debounced @ 250ms and then delayed if necessary to ensure it happens no more frequent than 8 seconds. So sometimes it will be immediate-ish (250ms), and sometimes you'll get up to 8 seconds of delay.

Note that if there are ANY OPC tags have unknown OPC Item Paths, the corresponding OPC server connection will stay in that eight-second debounce as the tags retry.

For leased tags to have anywhere near sane behavior, there must be NO bad tags at all.
