Raspberry Pi Ignition Install?

Well done kcollins. I found few more interesting links on the web along this line... I think, time has come to take Android and Raspberry Pi OPC UA servers/clients very seriously. Of course, they are running on ARM platform.

An open source and free OPC UA:

Free OPC UA:

Unified automation:

Prosys OPC UA:

Build OPC UA applications in JavaScript and NodeJS:

I think, IA must make it’s “ARM platform OPC UA client/server code” as open source and publish the source code on GitHUb. IA must encourage developers to use the Ignition SDK to build communication drivers on ARM/Android/Raspberry OPC UA platform. This will enable RTU manufacturers to have OEM agreement and embed Ignition OPC UA client/server in their products. Ignition SCADA has the potential to become IoT SCADA for Smart City and very large infrastructure management projects.

Now that the Raspberry Pi 3 is out, do you have refreshed enthusiasm for this project? We might have a project somewhere down the road where a Raspberry Pi OPC-UA server would be useful.
