Refresh Property Binding

Some related prior art in this thread, though it's not exactly what I'm looking for:

Renaming Vision Template Parameters Removes Corresponding Template Instance Parameter Values

I am trying to rename some template parameters on a Vision template that has many instances of it in my project. When I rename the parameter, however, all of the parameter values and bindings that were associated with the renamed parameter are lost. Is there any way to prevent this behavior from happening?

Somewhere on the forum I swear I wrote a script that would essentially do this, or helped someone, but I can't find it.
