I don’t use Ignition to send out emails, but I do have edge devices that will send out alarms using gmail.
First, I want to make note that in the very near future “Gmail is going to stop this service” I got a notification email from gmail telling me this several months back.
But this is how I have my device’s setup to send email
Had to use port 587
smtp.gmail.com is the address
had the use “Authentication” (User name and Password)
had to use “TLS” encryption.
