I just got it in 8.1.43, but my quick fix was to right click and click "close and revert". I have a hypothesis that if any of your page URL might have an error or the page config have any errors that it affects the other views. I had just made a new view that didn't have a correct page URL structure and when i deleted that view and clicked "close and revert" it got fixed.
Just had similar in Designer for Ignition 8.1.43 as well. I followed @Petter_Sunde_Vegsund 's approach of close & revert for each of the views I had opened since last save, working backwards and attempting to save each time. On the third try I noticed a view had not loaded properly on open - the usual edit viewport was just blank white. After close & revert on that one, the project saved fine.
I do remember accidentally opening that particular view and immediately attempting to open a different view, so that may be where the error occurs?
Given how compulsive I am with Ctrl-S this wasn't a huge issue.
Upgrade to 8.1.44. This release has a fix for this and I can confirm it solved the issues I had.
for my case, I open that page with user link, http://your link
if the link can display as normal, then , you go back to Ignition designer perspective open that view.
The view will came back as normal.
i may have found a solution,
when this comes close the designer and go to gateway--> projects and export your project
now comeback and create a new project in designer and import the project that you exported
(pray for couple of mins) ![]()
then open any view that was throwing this, it worked with me once
Are you suggesting that you are still having issues after upgrading? The 8.1.44 release had a fix. If you are still seeing issues then you should contact support so they can take a closer look.
No , our whole team is using 8.1.35 , so we are sticking to that version
That seems unwise. Is there a reason other than convenience?
