I am trying to setup the ignition âVoice Notificationâ alarm module to work with Twilio.
I am using a free Twilio trial.
When I create an alarm my phone rings but when I pick up there is no message. I believe my IP ACL settings in my Twillio account are correct and the correct ports( 5060 and 8000) are open.
I am using Elastic Trunking
I am new to this, any help on how to resolve / fault find would be much appreciated.
I can't offer certainty, but I believe the answer is NOmaybe - seems like i initially tried to go down that route before figuring out it wasn't what I wanted.
I'd imagine a SIP guru could answer that definitively straight-away. I came to the realization that if i'd had a reasonable grasp of the technology to start, the solution would've been obvious.
edit - according to Twilio's AI assistant, maybe the answer is yes, but with an intermediate "application" that returns TwiML to initiate the call. I just asked it for an example to originate a call via SIP Domains.
