I'm trying to connect to a 1756-L71 PLC in Chassis Slot 00, and the network card is in Chassis Slot 12. The connection doesn't work, and I'm not sure if the revision of the card is compatible with the Allen-Bradley driver in Ignition.
I am using Rev 11.002 network cards with no issue.
Can you show me how did you configure the driver?, please and what's your Ignition Revision?, I'm working with 8.1.41
All settings are default, IP address in the Hostname.
I configure it again with all settings by default but it doesn't work, my PLC has the revision 32.011, it could affect my communication ?
Can you provide some screen shots of your configuration? Error messages that indicate that it isn't working?
Make sure you are not using the Legacy driver with that CPU firmware.
I'm using the Logix Driver
I would expect that to work. You need to look in your gateway logs for connection errors and share them here.
That's a pure network error, unrelated to your EN2T version. Look for firewalls or broken routers between your gateway and your PLC.
I discard the Firewalls beacuse I have other connections configured from the same network and are working good
Other EtherNet/IP connections? Other target IP addresses?
Let me repeat:
Connection packet from gateway did not make it to the target address, or the reply did not make it back. There's only so many ways that can happen, and they are not inside Ignition.
Just because one works doesn't guarantee others will. Permissions/ACLs in firewalls can block everything except a whitelist of IPs, so it could very well be the firewall still. Is the RSLinx screenshot from the same PC as the Ignition Gateway? If not, you need to check firewalls, but if it's on the same PC that's odd.
