Hi guys, after updating the Ignition from ver. 8.0.9 to 8.1.18 I have two services of Ignition:
when I disable an “old service ignition.service” - after restarting my new service it do not work, help please with this problem.
Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS (GNU/Linux 4.15.0-188-generic x86_64)
Check the wrapper log (should be /usr/local/bin/ignition/logs/wrapper.log
) after a system-generated startup.
You should uninstall the SysV initscript. Stick to the SystemD configuration. The service
command is for backwards compatibillity and is deprecated. Use systemctl
instead.
Ubuntu is a SystemD distro. Don't fight the Borg.
I found another problem - I have a new service of Ignition - which name is Ignition-Gateway.service, but when I disable old service named Ignition.service - new service do not start after rebooting.
