7.9.x Release Timeline

While we all get excited for 8, whats the timeline for 7.9.x?

I am waiting for a few bug fixes targeted for 7.9.11 and I know you have some other cool improvements (no separate Java install!!) in the works as well.

7.9.10 is finishing up QA and should be released (beta) any day now. 7.9.11 is scheduled to go to QA on Monday.

Oh, and the updated Native Client Launchers with embedded Java 9 should be in 7.9.10.

Java will be embedded in the gateway too in 7.9.10 or later ?

The gateway will not have embedded Java in 7.9 (at least, that’s the current plan). 8.0 will have embedded Java for the gateway and vision clients.
