Ignition 8.1.40 has been removed from our website and will be replaced with 8.1.41 as soon as possible. Upgrades or new installations are experiencing an error with their VOIP Voice Notification profiles upon gateway restart.
Note that this only occurs on independent (non-redundant) gateways.
This issue doesn’t compromise the gateway, but prevents alarm notifications from being sent using Voice Notification Profiles.
The following message may appear in log files.
Error initializing user agent. Voice notification system will not be available. alarm-notification-profile=XXXXX
java.net.BindException: Address already in use: bind
If you’ve installed 8.1.40 you have a couple of options:
- Revert to a prior version of Ignition and upgrade once 8.1.41 is released in a few days time
- Stay on 8.1.40 temporarily until 8.1.41 is released and apply the workaround referenced in this forum post
A new announcement will be posted when 8.1.41 is released. Inductive Automation recommends that all customers running 8.1.40 upgrade to the latest version once it is available.
