With the release of 8.3.4 we decided to change from OPC UA to the Siemens Enhanced Driver.
The read-times have improved alot but now we are facing a new issue.
All components on the main view drops their connection for just a second every minute or so. The customer is very annoyed with this and I am out of ideas on what to do about it.
From what we have seen so far, it has no actual impact on the system at all, except that it looks really bad dropping the connection so often. The objects go black when the connection is lost but just return to normal again after a second or so.
Is this a known problem or has anyone experienced this or something similar?
Hi, I don't have disconnections every minute with enhanced siemens driver 8.3.4, but I continuously have clock drift detected, and let's say that I often have delays in reading the tags, like post :
I have about 17,000 tags, divided into the tag groups below. The tags that don't require continuous updates have refresh rates of 8,000 ms.
I didn't use leased tags group because switching rates from slow to fast isn't possible. The delay with leased tag can be several seconds, and when I enter the page, I can't wait, say, 10 seconds for the tags to start updating, Therefore, all the underlying groups are directly subscribed.
