I have setup a few dozen Siemens PLC connections using IA driver and device OPCUA servers. I watched a lot of ICC and am curious about details of the Siemens S7+ driver.
Can anyone answer the following Siemens PLC questions relative to the new S7+ driver coming with 8.3:
Will the new driver be 1200/1500 only?
Will the device still need to have get/put enabled?
Will DBs be required to have optimized access turned off?
No, it also has an absolute addressing mode that will work with S7-300 and S7-400 as well. Symbolic access is only for S7-1200 and S7-1500 though.

How much will be browsable?
All the stuff you can access in symbolic mode is browsable, the tag area, DBs, etc...

Yes the driver is available in Edge.
