After hearing that they will support launchers on ARM for Apple and Windows systems, I am wondering why no support for Linux yet? You can run a small gateway on a rasp pi, but having another one being able to use the launcher is needed/wanted. After the PowerHour Q&A, it seemed like it was possible?
Let me ask around and see what the current status is...
In the past it was a number of factors, including:
- we didn't have a Linux/ARM Java runtime that included JavaFX support
- we didn't have a JXBrowser build for Linux/ARM
- we didn't want to bloat the Ignition download/install size even more

Maybe time to package the launchers (and Workstation) separately? Like the mobile apps? They aren't version-locked to any gateway like the rest of the platform.
We've been talking about that, the big blocker right now I think is JXBrowser.
We could have separately downloadable Client and Designer Launchers for Linux/ARM, but without JXBrowser support you wouldn't be able to use a Designer or Perspective Workstation.
JJ is gonna open a ticket to look into it more. At this point it might just be JXBrowser on ARM has some minimum GLIBC version that might cause you grief.
