I am currently evaluating the ability to embed a perspective view as an iframe in another web application.
The PC that is running the application is able to open perspective views in a browser, however when embedding the perspective view, I get the following error.
Refused to display '' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'sameorigin'.
I read another post about this topic which suggested adding some config parameters on the gateway. On trying this in 8.3.2, I ended up breaking the ignition webserver and needed to revert my changes.
Has anyone done this in 8.3, and is there a method of doing this that does not compromise the security of the gateway and projects as a whole?
I tried doing this with both an authenticated project and a project with public permissions with the same error.
The current path forward for us is to build PowerBI dashboards with our ignition data and then embed those dashboards into the web app. It would be much cleaner if we could embed perspective views directly rather than interfacing through PowerBI.
The other application does have an API, but it is not capable of handling the kind of data that we would like to display. It is a SAAS application so I do not have the ability to change the core functionality.
