1. You used the same password as what? As the Ignition administrator?
2. Are you using the default user source?
3. Have you set the user source in your Project Properties?

Can you still log in to your gateway webpage? If you're locked out of your gateway webpage you can reset that password from the machine the gateway is running on using these instructions:
