AD/Internal Hybrid user source slow when editing roles

I'm using an AD/Internal Hybrid user source with about 8,000 users. When I edit a role for a user and click save, it takes over 2 minutes to finish. Similar, if I use the system.user.editUser() API function. I figured since the roles are managed in Ignition, it wouldn't take this long to update. Is there anything I could do to speed this up?

What version of Ignition is this? I think we (pretty recently) made some performance improvements in this area.

Can't guarantee it's the exact root cause of what you're encountering, but it won't hurt.
