Airlink RV50X - Message Format Configuration?

Hi everyone,

I’m working on configuring an AirLink RV50X, and the only part I haven’t been able to get working is the alarm acknowledgement.

I can successfully receive the alarm text message, and I can see my acknowledgement response showing up in the Inbound SMS Messages tab on the modem. The last incoming phone number also matches the number configured in the gateway for the user.

However, I noticed there’s an additional option called Message Format Configuration that wasn’t mentioned in the setup documentation. Could this be something I need to adjust?

All defaults, which matches your screenshot, works fine in my LX40.

Did you enable Acknowledged as a dropout condition in the pipeline? And in the alarm properties on the tag did you also assign the same pipeline to the ack pipeline?

I enabled acknowledged as a dropout condition, I also assigned the same pipeline to the ACK-pipline, but it’s still not working.

Do you have any tips? Thanks in advance!

That should be sufficient, in the Gateway settings → Alarming - Notification - Airlink settings do you have: Two-way Enabled (default: false)

Also are you sure you added both ports in your firewall configured between the devices, if there is a firewall between them?

Send Port (default: 17,341)

Receive Port (default: 17,342)
