Is there a way for me to allow system operators to clear the entries in the alarm journal? They are having a hard time differentiating real current alarms from commissioning alarms in the past. Also, how long are the alarm histories stored for and how far back to they go?
You should be able to adjust the row styles in the designer to make the differentiation easier between current and past. The other option if they only need active alarms would be using an alarm status table instead of a journal table.
Alarm histories are stored based on the journal configuration. At the bottom it has a pruning age, by default it is turned off, so it should be saving indefinitely.
