New to Alarm Notification Pipeline creation. I have created and tested the pipeline I created in the browser gateway config using the test feature. Having an issue where my pipeline does not show up in the drop down for "active pipeline". Maybe I missed something simple here. Any help is appreciated.
Have you saved the changes?
Yes. Have Saved a couple times. Deleted the pipeline. Recreated and saved. Closed the designer reopened as well.
Thanks for the input Jon!
I notice the tag provider says edge - is this a remote tag provider?
yes this is a remote tag provider. Designing in a central gateway.
Ver. 8.1.31
From memory, I think the alarms are processed in the remote gateway so if the pipeline doesnt exist there, it wont do that.
Ok. That would require each gateway to have the alarm module licensed? Could one reference remote provided tags under the default provider and then alarm on them from the CG?
I was about to suggest trying a reference tag in the local provider and putting your alarms on that
I will test this thanks Jon!
The pipeline becomes available in the default tag provider. Interesting. Thanks again Jon. If anyone else had a work around please follow up. Thanks!
With Edge Sync Services or Edge IIoT you can configure a remote notification gateway. This allows pipelines set up on the specified (central) gateway to be accessible from the tags on the Edge gateway.
I don't have any GAN connections from this edge gateway, but this is where you specify the gateway.
Thanks Avaughn I will check into that.
Avaughn I have enabled this on my edge node and it appears to be working now. Thanks!
