My client is going to implement a scale-out architecture consisting of a redundant frontend server and a pair of redundant backend servers. Connections to the PLCs will be distributed between the two pairs of backend servers. I've heard of an alarm management module called Alarm Notification Spoke. This module would involve the backend servers (spokes) managing alarms and notifying a central server (hub) where pipelines for email, SMS, etc., are executed. Has anyone used this alarm notification module? Would it be recommended for a scale-out architecture like the one I mentioned?
