Alarms

I created an alarm to monitor average % and compare to settings, in this case the average and the setting are both zeros but the alarm is active. This my first attempt with alarms and I can’t figure out what is the cause of this.

Probably because inclusive is set to True in the Alarm Mode Settings section.

Inclusive = True would be <=
Inclusive = False would be <
average and the setting are both zeros but the alarm is active
You have a 15% deadband defined. So once active, it has to go back above setpoint by the deadband % (or 1/2 the deadband – I can’t remember) in order to reset the alarm. Now, since the setpoint is zero, the deadband is zero, too. So the average going the slightest amount over will reset it.

Ah, I was wondering what that was, it solved my issue. Thank you!
