We have 2 an Allen Bradley Control Logix PLC 5580 V32 connected via the built-in OPC-UA Allen Bradley Logix Driver( )out of two, 1 PLC at least twice a day the connection is dropped and it does not reconnect. Selecting “Edit” under the Device Status page on the gateway, making no changes, and clicking “Save Changes” is the only way I have found to get it to reconnect
What version of Ignition are you using? There was a bug fixed in 8.1.4+ where the driver could get stuck in the “Idle” state until edit/saved.
We Use ignition Version 8.1.3.
