There is an older post regarding the connecting of RS Emulate 5000 with Ignition through OPC-UA. As of then, there was no method of directly using the OPC-UA directly.
Has there been any movement in this area to make this possible?

RS Emulate doesn’t work because the RS Emulate 5k software doesn’t actually emulate or support the EtherNet/IP network stack (or it doesn’t support any ethernet modules at all, or something). I don’t know if Rockwell will ever change that, but there’s nothing we can do on our side.
SoftLogix has been reported to work though.
