Any Suggestions for software for building wireframes?

I’m hoping to get some recommendations for wireframing software.

Our Ignition dev team is pretty small, and we often spend a lot of time trying to figure out what a new project is supposed to look like. Most requests focus heavily on functionality, but the layout and navigation are usually hard to explain verbally, which leads to a lot of back‑and‑forth.

I’m thinking that if our production team could wireframe their ideas—even at a basic level—it might help communicate expectations earlier and save time overall. Ideally, the tool would be simple enough for non‑technical users.

Has anyone here used wireframing tools successfully in a similar setup? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Figma is the top of the line for this, start there and look for alternative options based on their competitors.

Although “simple enough for non-technical users” probably won’t overlap with the tools necessary to wireframe effectively, they end up being (in my opinion) a steep learning curve at the start but then payoff once you are familiar.

Stitch for initial prototypes, then export to Figma. Heaps faster than starting from scratch.
