Application blocked by Java Security

Receiving an error stating that my application is blocked by Java security. Tried the knowledge base article below but it did not work for me. What can I do to resolve this issue? I cannot upgrade at the moment. I am currently running version 7.7.4

I think using the Native Client Launcher may be your only option if you can’t upgrade yet.
