On ignition 8.1.42, do memory tags retain its data in the event of an ignition crash or a restart? Will memory tag's data be available for at least 14 days?
Yes. For crashes, it is true as long as there has been sufficient time from last change for Ignition to update its internal config database. Seconds to minutes, IIRC. (That's where the persistent value is kept.) For controlled restart, the internal database is updated as part of the shutdown process.
There's no time limit.
