Atlas Copco Power Focus 6000 Open Protocol

Hi There,

We have MQTT infrastructure with Ignition Perspective 8.1. We have been successful to connect Atlas Copco controller to its torque wrenches on same network.

I know that Atlas supports Open Protocol. Is there a middlware we can use to communicate from ignition to Controller or Torque wrench using MQTT? I am aware of Kepware. Is there any alternative?

The goal is to enable torque wrench and send PSET when operator is on the task.

Please help!

Thanks

Why does it matter if the communication happens via MQTT instead of OPC UA?

We are trying to use only MQTT because thats how we have setup the architecture. All of our devices are through MQTT.

The question i have is, how do we communication with Atlas controller which is open protocol? What is the standard way?

Kepware is the only solution I've seen people use.

You can write back as well trough Kepware?

Presumably, yes. You'd have look at the Kepware documentation or ask them about it to be sure.

ok. Thanks
