I am having an issue with the audio component not working. Although it may be an issue with WebDev too.
I have a .mp3 file on the WebDev module as a file resource.
The source I am using in the audio component is http://localhost:8088/system/webdev/Takt_Timer_3/DoneSound.mp3
This means that the Perspective client browser will try to connect to a web server on the local PC rather than the gateway. Is that what you are really trying to do?
This is just a testing environment. So, the gateway is the local PC as I understand it. But if that is not true then, how do I get this image into the gateway?
/system/webdev/Takt_Timer_3/DoneSound.mp3
Try giving it a 'relative' source, the component (should) automatically use that.
That didn’t work either unfortunately.
Is there maybe a setting on my PC that is blocking Ignition for reading this file?
Where did you put the file? (If outside Ignition's install folder, there may be permissions needed.)
What happens if you point an empty browser tab at that complete URL?
Anything show up in the gateway log?
It is just on a folder on the PC. Should I move the file into the install folder? Is there any folder I should put it in specifically.
When I open it in a tab, the log shows a warning: httpchannel
Also see below:
That looks like something else. (Did you add the WebDev module after the fact? And got the correct version of it, matching your Ignition platform version?)

Yes, I got it after the fact.
WebDev: 5.1.50 (b2025093011)
Ignition: 8.1.45
I think we messed up internally; try the 8.1.45 equivalent version of the Webdev module:
