Audit Logging on Scale Out Architecture

Hello All,

What are the best practices for setting up an Audit log on a scale out architecture? I would assume the audit log needs to be setup on the Front End gateway as that is the project that will be modifying the tags and alarms on the Tag/IO gateway. Any information would be helpful.

Hello Frank,

A remote audit profile can be utilized to keep all audit events on the Front End Gateway. You would first create an audit profile as expected on the Front End. Then you can create Remote Audit Profiles on any IO Gateways that connects to the Front End. This way the Front End Gateway is managing audit data for itself as well as the IO Gateways and storing them all to the same database.
