Auditing of tag moves and deletions

Hello,

I have a client who randomly is having tags go “missing”. Sometimes they are showing in different tag folders (as in they were moved) and sometimes they are flat out deleted. Is there anyway I can turn on some sort of auditing to see who is doing these changes? I do not believe that normal auditing will work for what I want. If I can somehow also track who changed ignition webpage configuration as well, that would be good as well.

We are currently running 7.9.14.

Sorry, you’re not going to be able to in 7.9.x, at least from looking at the docs and release notes.

This is possible to do in v8. The project audit log will track tag creations, changes, moves and deletions. The gateway audit log can track web page changes.

I feel like it would be the gateway log that would track tag browser changes if anything... @meredithj , where you able to find what you were looking for?

Someone just reported that we lost a bunch of tags and we are trying to figure out how it happened.

To test if tag browser data changes are logged, I created a tag but it didn't show up in the audit log...

Oh wow... I just enabled project auditing and deleted the new tag I made for testing and it showed up in the audit... tag browser is gateway scoped - Im really surprised you have to enable project auditing for this to be logged! This means if we are unable to get to the bottom of this until we enable project auditing on all projects and then wait for this to happen again...
