Automation Professionals v8.3 Modules

Automation Professionals is pleased to announce the availability of several of its 3rd party modules as BETAs for the v8.3 beta, hosted here:

The following modules are currently available:

  • EtherNet/IP Class1 Communications Suite
  • Advanced Modbus Driver
  • Image and Video Streaming Driver
  • Integration Toolkit
  • Blob Server

Known Issues:

  • All modules are currently incompatible with v8.3 module update procedure, apparently due to my module file names including version and build information. You must uninstall any module to be updated, restart, then install the new version.
  • No gateway WebUI has been implemented yet for any of these. Migration via v8.1 gateway backup restoration into v8.3 is the simplest way to configure the drivers that need a complex configuration.
  • If not migrating, edit/place a config file in .../data/config/resources/core/com.inductiveautomation.opcua/device/{devName}/. File name must be Config.xml for EtherNet/IP Host devices, and nodes.csv for Modbus devices. Use the same formats as used in v8.1 import/export.
