I have a client who is wanting to use an Automation Direct PLC and Ignition. Does the OPC Server with Ignition have automation direct drivers? If not do you know of one such as KEP?
Some Automation Direct PLCs can communicate via Modbus, which our UA server has a driver for. If not Kepware should have drivers as well.
As Kevin said, most AutomationDirect PLCs support Modbus, but you can buy a KEP OPC Server (only supports AutomationDirect PLCs) directly from AutomationDirect. It’s much easier to work with than trying to communicate over Modbus and it costs about $400.
