BACnet Connection Help

Attempting to establish a connection for customer to a BACnet device. First time using BACnet, so I apologize in advance. After dropping the firewalls on our Kepware server and Ignition server, we are able to see the device tags using Kepware.

The customer would prefer to bring the tags directly to Ignition. I have been unable to do that and am looking for some guidance.

Ignition Server: 40.10.136.X
DeviceId 40.10.168.X
Kepware Server: 40.10.240.X

After looking at the Ignition documentation, I see that the device must be in the same subnet as the Ignition server. We have not seen that restriction with Kepware. Is this specific to Ignition?

I believe we are seeing Scenario 3.

Also, I do not see any log messages in my Gateway related to BACnet failing. Is this normal when no connection can be established?

Ignition settings:

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

From my understanding routers block broadcasts so the ignition server and the bacnet device would need to be on the same subnet or you would need a BBMD. Does your kepware have any settings for BBMD?

Thanks for the response. Our Kepware server is currently set to talk to the device directly. This may be "unicast". We do not have a BBMD device on the network.
