BACNet module update

I have an Ignition gateway v8.1.17 with BACNet driver v2.1.17 installed.

Can anyone tell me if I can install BACNet driver v2.1.37 on my 8.1.17 gateway and expect the driver to function properly?

I am interested in updating the BACNet driver for the new features which were updated in 8.1.33. I am not able to update the gateway version at this time.

You can't expect that to work with any Ignition module.

Sometimes it does work, but there's no expectation.
