We are currently running ignition 7.8 and are looking for options for tracking inventory in a warehouse with barcode scanner and having the information stored to a database in igntion. Does the scanner have to be tcp/ip like the one recommended in the forum a while back ago, or can we get a scanner that has the cradle plugged into the server to get the information. Just trying to get our options of the different scanners that will make this possible and by which means they do it.
I don’t know about the cradle solution you mentioned but when just use a cheap USB scanner that just outputs ASCII into the selected field when scanned.
