Best Chart Modules for Perspective

Hello,

What is the general opinion on the best option for creating interactive charts in Ignition?

I’m currently using Plotly. It offers plenty of chart types and flexibility, and I find it easy to configure through a single script transform.

I’ve also just read about Embr-Charts v3.0.0, and it looks quite good too.

I have used Perspective’s built-in charts as well. They offer many options, but I find them harder to set up—especially when trying to keep the configuration in a single script transform.

What is the general approach to using chart modules in Ignition? Which option do you normally prefer?

It really depends on actual usage. It's different for faceplate or for full screen page or for an overview page with multiple charts. All of them have pros and cons, you will find a lot about them here on the forum as well.

Embr every time, it just works.

Will try, I guess is the same as Plotly, you just get the module, restart ignition and drag and drop the Embr components into the screen.
