I’m new to ignition. I need to get some training and was wondering on the best order to take the classes as someone who knows really nothing about the software.
Have you looked at Inductive university?
Inductive University. They have it all sectioned out with many short videos. It's the best way to get a basic feel for the software.
I went through the inductive university modules, some of the information was good and other parts not so much, mainly because I’ve worked with databases/programming before. I’d skip over the vision specific training if you know you aren’t going to work with it. Took me a few videos before I realized it was irrelevant for me.
I’d say the most valuable training can be found in the elective studies portion of inductive university, in particular: Ignition with Docker Course at Inductive University and Building in Perspective Course at Inductive University were by far the most helpful for me.
Best thing IMO is to check out the forums and look up any questions you have and see if anyone else has asked it before. There is a ton of good advice on the forums.
Welcome to the forums. Their documentation for Ignition is also very well done. I always reference it while creating new projects.
