Why isn’t persistence automatically toggled for view.custom params when bound (like every other param)?
(Besides the fact that this would probably break pre-existing behavior)
worthy of noting, this doesn't happen when applying a binding to a nested parameter (of a parameter object) - that is, the default behavior applies where persistence is automatically disabled
