What is the current behavior?
On the initial install, the Gateway said it was starting in the browser but it hung up and never launched the gateway homepage. I could open a new homepage in Chrome and Edge just by going to localhost:8088 but the initial launch never went there.
What is the expected or desired behavior (if applicable)?
What is the build date of the Ignition-8.0.0-SNAPSHOT you reporting/commenting on (check file creating date/time)?
8.0.0-beta0 (b2018110602)
Please provide the following if applicable to your issue/comment:
(build 1.8.0_191-b12) – java
Microsoft Edge – 20.10240.16384.0
In addition to the question Carl asked above, were there any errors present in the wrapper.log file? Also, the version of Edge you are using is the version from initial release of Edge in 2015 (current version is 42.17134.1.0). Is there anyway to update to a newer version of the browser?
My latest install also hung up on the “Gateway is starting. This may take a moment. STARTING” page and the progress spinner just spun for hours, I finally refreshed the page to see the gateway was running fine.
Clean install, removed the older version of the beta from add remove programs and deleted the Ignition Program Files folder before installing the new version.
Chrome web browser Version 70.0.3538.102 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Windows Server 2012 R2

Sorry I did not check the wrapper log file.
