[BUG-12519] caret position in Gateway Events editor

In the popup editor for gateway event scripts (and also other script editors), the caret position does not match the input but is displayed in a wrong position. The position offest depends on the typed letters. An ‘a’ e.g. is ok, a ‘s’ moves the caret display position too far to the right.
In the example screenshot, the write position is behind the last s, there is no space.

I have this bug too with the last nightly beta.

I was able to reproduce this and have created a ticket in our backlog. Thank you for reporting it.

This should be fixed in the latest nightly deployment of 8.0. You will need remove .ignition/cache/resources/runtimes to force the changes made to the JRE to be downloaded.
